They say that dog years go faster than human years, but I'd like to disagree! The humans here at the shelter keep saying that I'm 11 years old, but I insist that it's actually just 11 months. I have some grey on my shiny black coat, but don't be fooled! I keep up with the 2 year olds in play group as often as I can, outrunning them easily. One of my favorite things to do here at the shelter is teach the new dogs my favorite game: running up and down the play yard fence with a big bound in my step. So far, no one can beat my record for "Most Adorable Bounding" and I'm determined to keep it that way. Don't be fooled by my energy though. I'm better behaved than any puppy: I'm potty trained, know how to sit on command, and am happy to curl up and rest quietly in my kennel. I'm equally happy to be an adventure buddy or a cozy at home friend. I'm truly a shepherd at heart: once you're my person, I'm endlessly loyal to you. Take a chance on an older dog. I promise, I'm worth it.
