About Sadie
Sadie came into rescue after being found tied up outdoors in Texas, then brought to a local shelter where she’s been living in an outdoor kennel. She’s a friendly, medium-sized boxer mix, about 18 months old, in the midst of vet care for a skin infection and a tick-borne illness that’s common in southern regions. She’s receiving daily treatment and making progress, but she’s still at the shelter since fosters are in short supply locally. Once she recovers, Sadie will be transported to New Jersey and ready for her new home—expected to be in March. Her personality stands out as outgoing and friendly; she gets along well with people and dogs. She hasn’t been tested with cats or young children yet. Sadie is fully vetted, spayed, and up to date on vaccinations, but not yet house trained. She’s got a short coat in a striking blend of red, white, and black. Her estimated birth date puts her under the playful and loyal sign of Leo. Sadie’s waiting for a foster or adopter to help her finish healing in comfort. Click apply to start the adoption process.
