Maggie is a 7-8 year old border collie mix who has recently completed her heartworm treatment and is now ready to find her forever family. She weighs around 60 pounds and has a lovely brindle, black, and white coat that shines when she’s out enjoying the fresh air. This girl truly craves human connection. Maggie will happily lean into you, offer hugs, and shower you with kisses. At adoption events, she’s been calm and polite, choosing to interact with people over toys. After some time spent under the care of the Jefferson SPCA at Jefferson Feed, it's clear she loves being around people. She walks well on a leash, appears to be house trained, and enjoys her outdoor moments. Though she’s a little timid around cats, with the right guidance, she could adapt. Maggie excels in play and is particularly fond of enrichment toys that engage her clever mind. She gets along well with other dogs and would thrive in a home with a canine companion to share her playful spirit. After waiting far too long for her turn to shine, Maggie is ready to bring happiness and light into the right home.
