She arrived at the shelter as a stray, and while new situations can be a bit overwhelming for her at first, patience and kindness go a long way with this sweet girl. Calla tends to warm up more quickly to women, but once she trusts you, her loyal and loving nature really shines. Calla is a big fan of her toys and isn’t shy about letting you know how she feels about them—she can get a little vocal and possessive, so she’ll do best in a child free home and with someone who understands and can help manage her enthusiasm. She does well with other dogs and may enjoy a canine companion, but cats are a bit too scary for her, so a cat-free home is best.
