About Luigi

Luigi is a striking Snowshoe seal-point, surrendered after his owner's passing left him without a home. At intake, Luigi was grumpy, which was first attributed to severe dental disease—every last one of his seven remaining teeth had to be pulled. Even after healing, Luigi’s personality stayed the same: a bit gruff, mostly interested in feline company. He’s not much for people—he prefers hanging out with cats and does his socializing on his own terms. Sometimes he’ll hiss (sometimes with no sound), but there’s nothing aggressive about it. Luigi is treat-motivated and will happily lick Churu straight from your fingers. His playfulness isn’t directed at people, but he enjoys lounging in the tube of a cat tree, and if you’re clever, you might get in a quick scratch while he’s distracted. He may give you a gentle bite, though without teeth, it barely registers. Luigi is neutered, up-to-date on his vaccinations, microchipped, and FIV/FeLV negative. Born under the sign of Aquarius, he’s an independent spirit with a soft side for other cats. Luigi is in River Edge, NJ, and waiting for a home where he can be himself, surrounded by fellow cats.
