And I don't blame you, but naming cats isn't easy. Maybe she should be Houdini because on the 1st day we met her, she was so scared of the cat carrier, she disappeared through a closed door, somehow fitting underneath the clearance of maybe 2 inches. Or perhaps a fitting name is Mystique, because once we brought her home as a foster kitty, she was invisible for three weeks, hiding but always spying, occasionally peeking out with her wide and round, uncertain eyes. She could definitely be named Bonita because when she did come out of hiding, I looked at her and said, Oh my! Well aren't you a pretty little thing! And I still say that to her a lot. Curiosity could be a good name because she has extra of that, always wanting to know what we’re doing or what’s cooking and trying to sneak some pets while she's at it. Buddy? That might be a name reserved for dogs, but she's playful and friendly to cats and clearly would love to be a buddy. In fact, other cats is what convinced her, that chasing and playing is better than hiding, and everything is better with a friend. We do call her Squeakers, but it's easy to see why. She has the tiniest little squeak of a meow. It's pretty adorable to hear her squeak and squeak, as she bounces down the hall, toward her breakfast dish in the morning. And definitely Sweetheart fits well because she totally is. With a lot of patience and gentleness, she drops the shy act and loves with exuberance. She seeks attention and pets and nuzzles and head bops you for more. So why Picnic? To be honest, I'm not really sure. But I do know what makes a sunny day even better...a Picnic, right? And what makes a rafting trip even more epic than it already is? Yep. Picnics. They just make everything that's already awesome, extra awesome. So do you want to guess what will make your amazing family the most amazing? It's Picnic! Super sweet, playful, extremely soft and pretty, ready for a cat friend or two and needing to bond with her favorite group of humans who have a peaceful, Houdini proof home. And a slow unsteady stream of house guests to keep her out of hiding.
