About Sadie
Start your journey together! Apply now. Meet Sadie! This delightful sweetheart is just bursting with love and energy at about one year old and weighing in at a playful 44 pounds! As a pointer mix with the heart of a lion, Sadie is far from your average dog; she’s friendly, social, and extremely affectionate. Picture yourself enjoying her joyful company every single day. Sadie’s lively spirit shines bright. She adores spending time with people and happily accompanies her humans on trips to store aisles, confidently handling busy environments with ease. She’s a wonderful companion for any outing—you’ll both quickly fall into a fun and loving routine together. For her ideal living situation, a fenced yard would be a dream come true, giving her the freedom to roam, play, and just be her cheerful self. A dog buddy would make her days even more fun, and Sadie gets along very well with both dogs and cats. While she is housebroken, crates are not her favorite, so giving her access to explore freely will help her thrive—especially if canine companionship is part of the arrangement. Currently, Sadie is practicing her basic commands, including Sit, Down, and Place, and she’s always eager to learn more (especially when treats are involved!). She loves to play fetch and enjoys her toys, making playtime a true highlight. Her story is a testament to her resilience: after likely being abandoned, she discovered comfort in a loving foster home, where she now enjoys peaceful coexistence with cats and joyful play with another dog. Now fostered in Harper’s Ferry, Sadie is ready for in-person meet-and-greets and is up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Her heart is ready for her forever family—don’t miss out on bringing this lovable girl home! They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
