Lulu remains cautious of humans --- and I mean, I've met humans... can you really blame her?! While Lulu has made progress in her socialization, her progress is being hindered by the fact that she cannot get enough 1-on-1 time while in a shelter environment. What she really needs is a home (foster or forever) that can give her the time and attention she so desperately needs to learn to trust people. I see Lulu on Saturday mornings and over the course of these brief, once a week interactions she has stopped hissing at me and will even jump down from her hammock to greet me when she knows I'm about to leave her a treat. I still can't pet her but she's starting to not distrust me. And that's huge. Now imagine Lulu having that type of interaction with a human multiple times a day every day.
