Carmel’s journey hasn’t been an easy one, but through it all, she’s shown nothing but love and resilience. She and her son, Oreo, were found in a warehouse, struggling to survive. With no place to call home, Carmel did everything she could to protect and care for Oreo, along with her four beautiful kittens. Now that her kittens have all been adopted (except for little Burrito, who is still waiting for his perfect match), Carmel is looking for her own happy ending. Though life hasn’t been kind to her in the past, this gentle mama cat has proven that with love and care, she can trust again. Carmel is a calm, affectionate girl who enjoys the simple pleasures of life — soft petting, quiet moments, and cozy spaces to curl up in. While she may be a bit shy at first, once she knows she’s in a safe place, she’ll give you all her love in return. She’s ready for a home where she can feel secure, loved, and truly cherished. Carmel would do well in a quiet, loving household, and while she enjoys the company of other cats, she would also be perfectly content as a solo companion, as long as she has the right human to bond with.
