About Tonka
Tonka spent much of his life outside, surviving on his own, but everything changed once he discovered indoor living. Since coming inside, Tonka’s transformed into a happy, affectionate, and gentle cat who thrives on attention. He loves being close to people and never misses a chance to soak up some love or companionship. His sweet, easygoing personality makes him wonderful company at home—he’s the kind who will quietly join wherever you are. Tonka has lived successfully with both dogs and children in his foster home. He would flourish as an indoor-only cat, either as a solo companion or in a home with other FeLV-positive cats. Tonka is Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) positive, a condition affecting only other cats through close contact like grooming or shared bowls. It doesn’t spread to people or dogs. While FeLV-positive cats can be more vulnerable to illness and may have a shorter lifespan, many like Tonka enjoy years of comfort and affection with good indoor care. Ready to fall in love?
