About Tonka
Click apply to start the adoption process. Once an outdoor cat, Tonka has blossomed into a happy, affectionate, and gentle companion after discovering the joys of indoor living. He now delights in attention and enjoys being around people, sharing his sweet and easygoing personality with everyone he meets. Tonka thrives on companionship and has done well living with dogs, making him an ideal addition to a home ready to offer him love and comfort. Tonka has adapted beautifully to indoor life and gets along well with both dogs and children in his foster home. He would do best living strictly as an indoor-only cat, either as the only feline in the home or in the company of other FeLV-positive cats, to ensure his health and safety. Tonka is Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) positive. While FeLV can affect a cat’s immune system and sometimes leads to a shorter lifespan, it is only contagious to other cats and not to people, dogs, or other animals. With attentive indoor care and regular veterinary checkups, FeLV-positive cats like Tonka can enjoy many comfortable, happy years. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
