Augustus "Gus" was adopted from us in 2018. He was recently picked up as a stray and with his microchip; we were able to reach out to his family. Gus had a family, but they never came for him. Now we have to help him find a new home…. Gus is a ten year old pit mix that has to start over. We think he knows that the odds are against him in finding a new home, but he doesn’t know what we know! Even with his age being a big factor in finding a new love, Gus has a great deal going for him! He loves people and is good with people of all ages! He is good with most dogs and does well with dog savvy cats. He is house and crate trained, does well on a leash (but does get stronger when he is really excited) and knows manners. He will bounce around when he gets excited so either get out of his way or join the dance! He loves to be with his person and will ask for attention and snuggle 24/7. Gus is a larger boy but a big baby. He doesn’t like being out in the dark alone and he thinks that he will melt in the rain. He is an older gentleman with a lot of love.
