About Pine Cone
Pine Cone is a resilient Shih Tzu mix based in New York, NY, who’s weathered a lot for her eleven years. After her previous owner couldn't afford her care, shelter staff intervened, giving Pine Cone a second chance. She battled through a nasty respiratory illness and multiple medical issues—including a chronic eye condition and a mast cell tumor. The good news: her tumor’s removed with clean margins, and her eye care just takes quick daily drops, which Pine Cone handles without complaint. She's got a huge heart for people and thrives on companionship. Expect cuddles and a dog who loves to tag along—shops, house parties, and lazy afternoons at a café are very much her scene. Pine Cone is house trained and easy to handle. She does well with calm, polite dogs, but isn’t interested in wild play. She absolutely cannot live with cats. Despite her age and medical history, she still has a spring in her step and plenty of affection to give. Pine Cone is fostered in NYC, but she's available to adopters outside the area if you’re able to come meet her. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
