Onyi is a large male German Shepherd Dog currently in Rome, GA. He is house trained, neutered, and his vaccinations are up to date. Onyi gets along well with both dogs and children. He is looking for a home willing to continue his training and help him move past a tough start to life.

About Onyi

Onyi is big, striking, and in training to become the best version of himself. After being left tied up for most of his life and eventually abandoned, Onyi ended up at the shelter through no fault of his own. He has some quirks from his past, so his adopters must be prepared to put in work and commit to his training. Right now, he’s receiving full obedience and socialization work, learning to get along with other dogs and adjust to the world again. Adopters will be required to meet with his trainer and continue Onyi’s program at home. That’s built into his adoption process, and his fee reflects the investment put into helping him land softly on his paws. He absolutely loves his ball and, when comfortable, shows a playful spirit. Onyi gets along with other dogs and children. He’ll be available for adoption around mid-February, so if you want to help a dog start fresh in adulthood and are ready for a training commitment, he’s worth your time. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
