About Pi

For over four years, Pi built his world on the simple foundation of devotion and resilience. At just 4½ years old, this Bullmastiff–Pit Bull mix has lived a harder life than most: a loyal companion to someone experiencing homelessness, he never had a yard or even a steady place to sleep—just the trust and connection of his person. His heart could have grown distant. Instead, Pi stayed gentle, hopeful, and deeply bonded. After suddenly losing his person to circumstances beyond his control, Pi spent over a year waiting quietly in a shelter. When his owner was finally released, they recognized letting Pi go was the kindest thing they could do: the start of Pi’s second chance at real comfort and peace. Now, Pi is healthy, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative. He’s a strong, affectionate 72-pound boy, mellow and loyal. Pi knows family means everything and wants nothing more than to settle in at last. He would do best as the only pet, as he can be selective with dogs and needs a home without young children (kids 16+ are fine). His ideal environment is with someone home often—he misses his person when alone—and a confident handler who’ll be patient as he adjusts to calm routine.
