About Roxie

Meet Roxie, a delightful 2½ to 3-year-old mixed breed residing in Toledo, OH. Weighing in at around 32 lbs, she sports a stunning bi-color coat that’s low-maintenance—perfect for those who appreciate beauty without a lot of fuss. Roxie came to DogWorks after the sudden passing of her beloved owner. Naturally, she became quite sad and withdrawn. Thankfully, in foster care, she’s been rediscovering her playful and affectionate nature. A true "people dog," Roxie thrives on companionship and bonds deeply with her humans. She loves being close, often checking in just to ensure you’re okay, and is always ready to snuggle in on the couch. Roxie prefers a home where someone is present most of the time. She enjoys a predictable routine, which includes morning walks, playtime, and adventures like car rides. While she’s initially cautious around new people during walks, she quickly warms up in a familiar setting. Roxie gets along well with other dogs after a brief settling-in period and is potty trained, walks nicely on a leash, and knows basic commands. She’s spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and on monthly preventatives. Her ideal home would include a securely fenced yard, ideally with a taller fence as she shows some climbing ability. Roxie isn't a fan of having her nails handled, so patience during grooming is necessary. If you think you can provide Roxie with the love and attention she craves, she’s ready to fill your home with joy. Your new best friend is just one click away.
