Lucky’s Mom passed away and the family surrendered her to a shelter in Texas. She stayed there for almost a month with no adoption offers, so she hitched a flight to rescue in Colorado to find a “forever” home. She is a white miniature poodle, about 7.5 years old, and weighs about 15 lbs. We really don’t know anything about her life before the shelter. She is a little shy, but allows herself to be held, and seems to enjoy the affection, if you go slowly. She gets along well with the other dogs in her foster home, but doesn’t go out of her way to play or sleep with them. She is a quiet, calm dog and very food motivated. She would probably do best in an adult home, with a retired person or couple, or someone who works from home. She would like a fenced in backyard to wander in. She could probably do well as an only dog, or with another dog her size. Lucky is spayed, she is up to date on her vaccinations (rabies, distemper and kennel cough), vet checked, heartworm tested negative and on preventative while in rescue, and microchipped.
