Spike is wonderful with dogs and kids, walks beautifully on a leash, sits when asked, and absolutely loves to cuddle. He has an excellent disposition and truly shines as an easy, loving companion — you really couldn’t ask for a better sidekick. Spike is heartworm positive, but his treatment is provided by Pitt Friends. According to the American Heartworm Society, treatment is highly effective, with over 95 percent of dogs testing negative after completing treatment. With proper veterinary care, most dogs go on to live completely normal, healthy lives.
