About Koda

Start your journey together! Apply now. Koda is a loving and fairly mellow 4-year-old neutered male Siberian Husky currently seeking a new forever home. He's up-to-date on core vaccinations, microchipped, and healthy. Koda is very friendly with everyone he meets, both inside and outside the house, and is especially great with young children. With true Husky energy, Koda gets along wonderfully with other dogs, particularly enjoying the company of his Husky/German Shepherd brother. He would thrive in a home with another playful dog, as he has experienced some separation anxiety when left alone. While Koda hasn't spent time around small dogs or cats, it's noted that Huskies without early cat socialization may have a high prey drive directed at felines. Koda is house trained, but to help with his anxiety, he and his brother are typically kept in a kennel during the day if left alone. At night, Koda sleeps comfortably on the bedroom floor. Energetic and eager at the start of walks, Koda settles quickly and is easy to redirect even when excited by encountering other dogs. He loves traveling in the car, enjoying the wind with his head out the window. Playtime is a favorite for Koda—he’s crazy about fetch, brain-challenging toys, crinkle toys, tennis balls, and de-stuffing plush toys. Koda is being rehomed due to his Air Force family’s upcoming overseas deployment and busy schedules. He is currently located at Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, CA. Koda’s ideal new home will provide companionship, activity, and lots of love—either alone or perhaps with his brother. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
