About Koda

Meet the incredible Koda! This amazing 4-year-old, 75-80 pound neutered male Siberian Husky is as loving as they come. 🐾 With a spirit that's both chill and cheerful, Koda is a healthy pooch who is up-to-date on all his vaccinations and even microchipped! 🐶✨ Koda is a social butterfly who adores everyone he meets—inside the house and beyond! He’s especially great with young children, making him the perfect family companion. 👨‍👩‍👦 But wait, there’s more—Koda thrives around other dogs! He’s currently living with his 3-year-old Husky/GSD brother named Lupin, and they get along famously. However, this handsome pup would shine even brighter in a home with another playful dog, as he has shown signs of separation anxiety when left alone. 🚪💔 Now, here’s the scoop: Koda hasn’t been around small dogs and has not had the chance to meet any cats either. Just a heads-up! Should Koda come across a cat, his Husky instincts might kick in! 🐱💨 Koda is predominantly housetrained, but to keep him and his buddy Lupin safe, he does spend some time in a kennel when his mom, Charlotte, has to leave for work. They both enjoy snuggling at night in the bedroom, which tugs at the heartstrings! 😴💕 When it comes to walks, Koda may start off pulling with excitement, but he settles down fairly quickly and doesn’t act aggressively towards other dogs. An agile responder, Koda’s excitement is wonderfully redirectable. 🎾🚶‍♂️ Car rides? Koda’s favorite! He loves the thrill of sticking his head out the window (who doesn’t love that feeling?!) 🚗💨 He thoroughly enjoys fetching toys and has a knack for problem-solving, especially with “brain-challenging” toys. And beware, those stuffies don’t stand a chance against his playful spirit! 🧸🤪 Charlotte, an Air Force member, took in Koda three years ago from a fellow USAF family, who couldn’t keep him as they were moving. Unfortunately, Charlotte is now facing a similar situation with a deployment coming up. 😢 Knowing that Koda deserves a better environment than spending ten hours a day in a kennel has led her to seek a loving new home for him—whether it’s together with Lupin or on his own. ❤️ Koda is currently located on Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, and there is a $100 adoption fee. If this sweet boy has stolen your heart, don’t wait! You can apply through the Buddy App to adopt him and bring Koda into your family and heart! 🌟🐶
