About Lorna
Lorna is a small, young dog rescued from very difficult circumstances, coming from a home that tried to help too many strays in a poor neighborhood. At around 8 months old and weighing about 23 lbs, Lorna’s almost done growing and likely won’t get much bigger. She appears to be a Jack Russell and chihuahua mix, showing off the best parts of her breeds: she can be friendly and spunky, though caution is still her first instinct in new situations. Given patience, Lorna begins to let her guard down, welcome treats, and even lean in to people for comfort. She respects other dogs in the home and has shown gentle curiosity around cats, never aggression. Snuggling up to her person already comes naturally—that's where she’s most relaxed. In her foster home, Lorna has started showing more curiosity, a spark of playfulness, and continued medium energy. She’s house trained, vaccinated, and will be spayed soon. Lorna needs a gentle household willing to help her finish building trust. She’s ready for her forever person and a quieter, stable life. Your new best friend is just one click away.
