About Jupiter
Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you. Meet Jupiter, a unique Carolina Dog and Bull Terrier mix with an adventurous spirit and a heart full of love. She’s a medium-sized adult female who is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on all vaccinations. Jupiter had a rough start as a stray for her first two years, making her naturally cautious and a bit skittish, especially around new people. She prefers flight over fight and truly values having a quiet spot to retreat to when she feels overwhelmed. Although she’s house trained and crate trained, she doesn’t love being crated as that was her first introduction to animal control. Jupiter is bursting with playful energy, especially when it comes to running and games like tug-of-war—she needs this level of play twice a day to truly thrive. Once she’s played out, she enjoys basking in the sun, cuddling up for evening snuggles, and will melt for butt scratches (and isn’t shy about rewarding you with her signature loud purr). This clever girl knows a range of commands from high fives to sit, speak, and more. She keeps to a consistent eating and outdoor schedule and is both smart and affectionate, though a bit wild in play—she may jump or play-mouth, so she needs an adopter who’s comfortable managing her exuberance. Jupiter prefers male doggie friends and can be cat-tested if needed. Due to her size, enthusiasm, and need for understanding, a home with older children or adults is best, especially one willing to appreciate her affectionate loyalty despite her skittish streak. She loves sleeping in the bed and may stake her claim as a bed hog, but she’ll repay you with sweet cuddles. Her ideal home is with someone present—the typical 40+ hours gone workweek wouldn’t suit her. Jupiter’s journey from street life to loving foster home means she’ll flourish with patience and the right company. Fun fact: With an October birthday, this Libra girl is all about balance, seeking both spirited play and serene moments. Let’s make it official, apply to adopt!
