Uno is a striking 2-year-old husky/shepherd mix with the most unforgettable feature - his two different colored eyes Weighing 61 lbs, he's the perfect blend of athletic and affectionate and would thrive with an active family or individual. Uno has a wonderful zest for life and truly thrives with regular exercise, making him an ideal companion for long walks, jogs, or outdoor adventures. Once he's had time to stretch his legs, he absolutely shines - walking beautifully on leash and staying engaged with his handler. He's the kind of dog who would love to explore the neighborhood or hit the trails right by your side. He's currently learning "sit" and is very treat motivated, which makes training both fun and rewarding. Uno also has a big love for squeaky toys and will happily keep himself entertained. We suspect Uno is potty trained, but as with any dog in a shelter environment, we can't make guarantees. Uno hasn't officially been dog tested yet, but volunteers have observed that he is friendly and calm when walking past other dogs on leash and dogs in nearby yards. If you have another dog at home and are interested in Uno, we recommend bringing your dog(s) to a meet and greet so you can see how everyone fits together . Uno would do best in a home with a fenced yard, though apartment living may be considered for adopters with an active lifestyle who can meet his exercise needs.
