Meet Herbie! This sweet guy was E-listed at county for being adopted and returned four times. We didn’t feel he was given a fair chance and were thankfully able to pull him into rescue. We found he really was just a sweet boy who needed a chance. We are happy to report that he settled comfortably into his foster home. Herbie loves to go exploring on walks. He has had interactions with large and small dogs outside the home and it’s been great! He might even be good with cats. He enjoys affection, squeaky toys, and a good ol’ bone to chew on. His fosters have been teaching him a routine and through consistency, and have noted an improvement in separation anxiety and household manners. He responds well to verbal cues and gentle redirection. Herbie really wants to please his people! Overall, he’s a loving boy and really wants to be part of a family. Herbie would do well in a variety of homes whether it’s an active couple, retiree, or a household with children. He loves to be close to people and just needs that companionship.
