About Atlas
Atlas has been waiting for a home since October 2023. He’s a 5-and-a-half-year-old Pit Bull Terrier with a muscular, short-haired build and a coat of creamy white. Atlas thrives outdoors, especially when there’s a tennis ball involved—fetch is his favorite. He’s eager to learn and responds fast to treats, currently working on his basic commands, leash manners, and is house trained. Atlas can be wary of new things, but once he builds trust with his people, his confidence grows quickly. He brings a lot of energy and would fit best in an adult or teen household where folks can keep up with him and commit to his training. Atlas needs to be the only animal in the home—he isn’t comfortable with dogs or cats. He also struggles with separation anxiety, so he’d do best with someone present often who can actively work with him on this.
