About Macaroni .
Click apply to start the adoption process. Meet Macaroni 2.0, a roughly 2-year-old male Rottweiler/Miniature Pinscher mix who is in urgent need of a loving foster home. After suffering a traumatic injury to his C3-C4 spine about four weeks ago, Macaroni arrived unable to lift his head or move. Thanks to thoughtful medical care, he can now stand and has regained function in all four limbs, but his movement remains impaired, with significant neurological deficits—most notably in his right front leg, which currently has little or no proprioception and may eventually need amputation. Macaroni is also under-socialized and nearly shut down, making it hard for shelter staff to evaluate his true personality or quality of life in this stressful environment. He needs a calm, patient home with someone experienced with neurologic dogs, hospice fosters, or anyone who can offer comfort and hope to a dog who may never fully recover. His situation is truly urgent—he needs someone special to step up and give him a safe place to heal and feel loved. Fun fact: Born December 14, Macaroni is a Sagittarius, often known for their resilience and optimism even in the face of challenges. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
