About Drew
Click apply and let the tail-wagging begin! Drew is a medium-sized, white and brindle boxer/pit mix who brings a special spark to any home. At around 5-6 years old and weighing 45 pounds, Drew is skilled at entertaining himself with toys before cozying up at your feet. He just made his journey up from Atlanta, and during his Georgia foster stay, he got along respectfully with an older dog and proved to be very comfortable using a crate while his person was away. Drew is housebroken, sleeps peacefully on a dog bed, and happily settles into his crate when asked. He is an easy-going companion who quickly sits when moving indoors from the yard or a walk, and is easily redirected if kitchen aromas get his attention. Drew does not jump on furniture, enjoys his baths, and mostly hangs out in a relaxed, chill mode with only occasional moments of being a gentle shadow. He could benefit from a little more leash training, but already knows some basic manners. What truly sets Drew apart is his unicorn status as a hermaphrodite dog—born with both male and female parts—though this has no effect on his health; it's simply one of the special things that make Drew unique. Drew’s foster describes him as having very few vices, with his main interest being the tantalizing smell of trash, so a secure rubbish bin is a must. He's shown interest in kids over 12 and does well with dogs, although cat compatibility is still unknown. Drew is eager for a family that can appreciate his quirks and loving personality.
