Buddy is a fluffy, medium-haired, solid black neutered male cat, estimated to be an adult. He is currently living at Rescue House and enjoys the companionship of other cats. While healthy, Buddy is FIV positive, which is a common condition in cats that requires only a bit of extra understanding from his future family. He would thrive in a calm home, especially one with older children and plenty of cozy spots to relax.

About Buddy

Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now! Buddy is currently thriving in a loving foster home, waiting for just the right adopter to come along. He’s a striking, medium-haired, solid black neutered male, born around December 2018, and he brings plenty of charm to every room he enters. Buddy’s past included sharing an apartment where, unfortunately, pet restrictions led him to find a new place to call home. Now, he’s looking forward to his next chapter—and maybe finding a forever Buddy in you! This fluffy sweetheart is famous for seeking out the coziest beds and happily plopping down in any comfy spot, whether it’s meant for humans or cats. Buddy craves connection with his people, relishing gentle pets and attention, and he isn’t shy about letting you know when he’s hungry—sometimes tapping your hand or shoulder as a gentle reminder, or even giving you a paw on the counter during mealtime prep! Buddy enjoys the company of other cats and would do well in a home with older children (ages 10 and up). He hasn’t shared space with dogs or younger kids, so a calm environment is ideal. While Buddy is healthy, he does test positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). This common cat-only condition can weaken his immune system, but FIV+ cats generally enjoy long, happy lives and do not spread FIV through friendly play or cuddling. Buddy is ready to find a loving, understanding home that will appreciate all the sweetness he has to offer. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
