Jean is a beautiful 1-year-old kitty with a loving and confident personality. She is wonderful with other pets, both cats and dogs, and well behaved in a home. Jean is a sweet, affectionate companion and the purrfect guest in her foster home! She greets her foster at the door every day and lovingly rubs against her for pets. She is friendly with new people and welcomes guests- human and animals alike! She is litter box trained and sleeps peacefully through the night in her bed. If you're looking for someone to talk to, Jean loves conversation- she even sometimes talks back! Jean is also a foodie and loves meal time! She is not picky about her food- dry, wet, treats, she loves it all! Jean's favorite hobbies include window watching, getting pets from people, and cuddling up with her fur friends. Jean gets along wonderfully with other cats and is also dog-friendly. She was originally found with a feral colony but was much too friendly to release after her spay. She actually came up to rescuers during the TNR (trap, neuter, return) event and allowed us to gently place her into a trap. When she was out of recovery and started purring at rescuers, we knew she was ready for an indoor home. In her foster home, she has been nothing short of purrfect. Dreaming of Furever Animal Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue that adopts cats and dogs from South Texas to the Pacific Northwest and the East Coast. The adoption process consists of an application, reference checks, phone interview, and video chat with the pet and foster parent! The adoption fee of $250 includes spay/neuter, vaccines (rabies, HCP and FeLV with boosters), microchip with free lifetime registration, deworming, transport, combo test, and flea prevention! We are volunteers with a passion to reduce the stray population and unnecessary euthanasia in South Texas. According to Shelter Animals Count, an almost 100,000 cats and dogs were euthanized in Texas shelters. By transporting our adoptable pets to areas with fewer unwanted pets, they have a better chance of quickly finding loving homes, while also freeing up space in Texas shelters and giving more local animals a chance at life.
