About Cara
Cara is a three-year-old American Shorthair who came in with her brothers for medical care. Originally part of a TNR project, she refused to take her medication and gave everyone a hard time. For quite a while, she kept her distance and made no secret of her distrust. Over time—probably with a lot of patience on our part—Cara seems to have turned a corner and now seeks out attention. She’s grown into an affectionate lap cat, always ready to soak up a little love. With her orange-red short coat and calm maturity, Cara would make an ideal companion for someone wanting a loyal presence nearby. She gets along well with other cats and knows her way around a litter box. You’ll get a cat with real character and an independent spirit who knows when to settle down for a cuddle.
