Meet Roscoe — the gentle giant who’s still waiting for his person. Roscoe is a stunning 3-year-old Shepherd mix with soulful eyes and a heart that just wants somewhere safe to land. At around 80 lbs, he’s a big, handsome boy—but don’t let the size fool you. Roscoe is all softness. He lives for belly rubs, squeaky toys, and those quiet moments where he can lean his whole body into you and just be close. Snuggling is his love language. When Roscoe trusts you, he gives you everything. He becomes wiggly, affectionate, and deeply loyal—the kind of dog who makes you feel chosen. He walks beautifully on leash, handles vet visits like a champ, and shows just how smart and eager he is when given clear direction and structure. He wants to do well. He just needs someone willing to guide him. Roscoe can be selective with other dogs and is still learning how to manage his excitement around them, so he’s looking for a calm, adult-only home where he can be the only pet and truly relax. He hasn’t been cat-tested yet. He also appreciates having his own space when enjoying his toys—an easy ask for someone who understands and respects boundaries. This sweet boy has already known heartbreak. Roscoe was abandoned in March 2023, and despite everything, he’s still gentle, still hopeful, still waiting for someone to see him not as “too much,” but as exactly right. Roscoe doesn’t need perfection—he needs patience, consistency, and love.
