Meet Sophia! Maybe about 3 years old, Sophia is one of our shyer kitties in the rescue. She is learning still to trust and relax around people, and has not yet let relaxed the strong boundary she keeps when our volunteers ask if she wants to be pet. Sophia will not be a cat who can acclimate to any home, but we know her people are out there. Socializing a cat who has not had enough love and affection early on is a very rewarding experience, especially when they start to trust and become more at ease with their family. Sophia HAS come a long way already, and it helps that she lives at the cat condo and has a variety of daily visitors. She IS very affectionate with the other kitties at the condo.
