Meet Treasure! 💎 Treasure is a young dog full of personality and ready to find her forever home. After being dumped off the highway she took up residence at the local bank and post office for two months before rescuers caught her. Because of her time alone on the street she can be skittish and will need a few days to warm up to her new family. Once she becomes comfortable she blossoms into a sweet and super playful pup. She loves all toys, tug of war and putting two paws in your lap! She rides quiet and calm in the car, and hasn't shown any aggression towards other dogs or cats. Due to state laws regarding out of state adoptions, we cannot adopt to families in Massachusetts or Rhode Island.* Listed breed is an educated guess made by our veterinarian and is NOT a guarantee - this also means we have no way of knowing what a puppy's adult size will be. This dog is currently being fostered in Mississippi and will be transported via Barton's Barkers transport services upon adoption. Their adoption fee includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, a nose to tail vet check, microchip and transport costs. Second Chances lists dogs as being available in White River Junction, VT because we transport our dogs to the area every 3rd week after they have been adopted. All of our local shelters have a high euthanasia rate due to overpopulation so we created our rescue group to primarily adopt to the northern states to help keep as many dogs as we can from entering our kill shelters.
