Taz
AvailableTaz is a senior male Pomeranian in California Hot Springs, CA, with a long coat and a small build. He has been neutered and his vaccinations are current. Taz has special needs due to his past and is not house trained yet. He gets along with both dogs and cats, but would not be comfortable in a home with children.
About Taz
Taz came to the rescue as one of four senior Pomeranians saved from a puppy mill. He’s a small, fearful guy who hasn’t had much experience with people, but despite that, he’s never snapped or shown aggression. He’s making progress—recently, he started accepting pets when he feels comfortable, though it’s always on his terms. Taz is not yet house trained, which isn’t surprising given his background. He was just neutered and is still learning what it means to feel safe and cared for. Because of his special needs and age, the rescue is open to a foster-to-adopt arrangement. Taz gets along with other dogs and cats, but a home without young children is essential so he can continue gaining confidence at his own pace. Every day he gets a little braver, and he would do best with someone patient who understands where he’s coming from. Start your journey together! Apply now.

Questions about Taz
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Pomeranians like Taz adapt well to small homes or apartments due to their size, but need a calm, secure environment, especially for seniors coming from difficult backgrounds.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Taz, like most Pomeranians, doesn’t require a large yard and can get by with short walks and some indoor play, though a secure area for regular bathroom breaks is helpful.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
While many Pomeranians can do well with gentle older kids, Taz’s fearfulness means he needs a home without children so he can feel safe and decompress.
