Pepper stands out with her big heart and adorable, goofy side. At 1.5 years old, this large Lab mix has lots of love to give and keeps people smiling with her playful energy. She’s a fan of treats, toys, cuddling, and giving plenty of kisses. Pepper was returned to the rescue after her previous adopter had a change in life circumstances, but she’s shown impressive spirit as she adjusts. She’s house-trained and quick to pick up basic commands like "sit" and "down." Pepper is selective about other dogs and may be reactive with strangers, often showing a strong protective streak for her people. Staff are actively working with her on these issues, and guidance will continue for her adopter. She will do best in an active home, ideally somewhere quieter without a steady parade of visitors, and with an owner experienced enough to continue her training. Pepper may be interested in cats and could chase, so further testing is recommended. The rescue suggests homes with kids over 12, just to keep everything safe and comfortable. She’s looking for someone who enjoys being outdoors and wants a loyal companion. If you’re ready for a smart, loving project with personality, Pepper’s waiting for you. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
