Meet the beautiful Amris, a resilient soul who has truly triumphed over the challenges life threw her way! 🌟 Spotted first on a trail camera back in June 2023, Amris and her trio of canine companions were struggling to survive, starving and desperately seeking food. Tragically, their plight tugged at the heartstrings of those who found them. It wasn't long before Amris was caught in a live trap, and let me tell you, carrying her to safety was quite the workout! But now, oh, how she struts her stuff on a leash! 😍 However, Amris does possess a natural hunting instinct, so she might chase after any late-night wildlife or the occasional feral cat she encounters. 🐾 You might find it amusing that this clever girl has managed to scale a 4-foot fence not once, not twice, but THREE times! Thankfully, she now prefers the comforts of her newfound home and stays put behind the fence. 🏡 While she may not be the most active gal around—often found lounging and delighting in belly rubs—she does have a twinkle of mischief in her eye! And isn’t that what makes life more fun? 🥰 Amris isn’t microchipped and unfortunately, no owner was ever found. She was diagnosed heartworm positive but is on preventive treatment. Bless her heart, she received her heartworm treatment on October 26 and 27, 2023. She was estimated to be about 6 years old and little by little, she's gaining back her strength—just last month, she tipped the scales at 68 pounds after being spayed! But, in the spirit of full transparency, an x-ray on November 15, 2023, revealed an ACL tear in her back left leg. While surgery can be quite costly, Amris is on Rimadyl when needed, and her vet recommends keeping things low-key. This affectionate girl simply loves to be pampered and would be the ultimate companion for someone looking for a laid-back pet.
