Amris
AvailableAmris is a gentle, short-coated Labrador Retriever mix with a soft red and cream coat. She’s a spayed adult female, currently living in Frankston, TX, and her vaccinations are up to date. Her adoption profile notes she’s good with dogs and children, but not with cats. Amris is crate trained and prefers quieter surroundings, making her a great companion for a relaxed household.
About Amris
Amris came into rescue after being spotted hungry and searching for food with her family in the summer of 2023. She took some coaxing to feel safe, but now she trusts and calmly accepts attention—even rolls over for belly rubs. Amris is gentle, prefers lounging over action, and would be happiest in a quieter home. She’s shown a hunting drive toward wildlife, including feral cats, and has managed to climb a four-foot fence before settling in. Currently, she stays inside the fence and doesn’t seek to escape. Crate training is solid, but her house training status is unknown. She gets along well with other dogs and children, but isn’t a match for homes with cats. Amris recently received heartworm treatment and is spayed and vaccinated. She’s managing an ACL tear in her back leg under vet advice—activity kept to a minimum and pain managed with medication as needed. Amris will thrive with someone who cherishes calm companionship over constant activity. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
