About Joyce
Joyce is a beautiful and clever terrier mix who's been through her share of uncertainty. She came from a house packed with other dogs, and the experience seems to have made her cautious around new people. She’s slow to trust strangers, but once you’re in her circle, you've got a buddy for life. She turns genuinely sweet and loving once she knows you mean her no harm. While Joyce managed to live with other dogs in her past, these days she’d rather not share her home. She’s got some leash reactivity and doesn’t really enjoy the company of other dogs or cats. She’ll thrive as the only pet, preferably with older, dog-savvy kids. Despite her rough start, she’s smart—already learning basic commands and seems housebroken. Joyce loves belly rubs, a good run with her toys, and a competitive game of tug. Fetch isn’t really her sport, but she does delight in chasing after a thrown toy. She’s right around a year old and has a long gray and white coat that stands out. The rescue takes care to match her with the right home, and you’ll need to live within 50 miles of Edgewood, MD for a home visit. Vaccines, flea prevention, spay, and microchipping are all included with her (sponsored) adoption. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
