Luke is a young Chihuahua mix, approximately 6–8 months old and weighing about 12 pounds. While we don’t know anything about his past, it’s clear that he’s had a rough start and is still learning that the world can be a safe place. Luke is very timid at first and will need a patient, understanding home where he’s allowed to decompress and build trust at his own pace. Once he feels comfortable, his true personality begins to shine—he becomes playful, affectionate, and enjoys being held. He especially loves the company of other dogs and gains confidence from them, making a canine companion a big plus for him. Because of his size and gentle nature, Luke is an ideal travel companion and a perfect lap-sized buddy once he bonds with you. He is looking for a calm, stable environment with people who understand shy dogs and are willing to give him the time and reassurance he needs to feel safe. With patience and love, Luke will make a loyal and rewarding companion.
