About Wolfie > Bleeding Heart
What are you waiting for? Apply today! Meet Wolfie, the energetic star of The Bleeding Heart Society who is ready to bring joy and adventure to a loving home. Around a year old and about 63 lbs, he has a uniquely coyote-like look that turns heads everywhere he goes. Wolfie is exceptionally friendly—he gets along with kids, has shown no reaction to cats, and isn’t reactive to other dogs. A true people-lover, he relishes attention, kisses, hugs, and snuggles, and is known for taking treats with remarkable gentleness—even the tastiest snacks! His high energy and athletic nature make him the perfect companion for someone who enjoys walks, hikes, and lots of activity, but he’s also content to share affectionate moments. Wolfie is smart, quickly learning commands, and always in tune with those around him, despite much of his life being spent in a kennel. Wolfie's playful independence and sense of humor bring out genuine laughter in those who spend time with him. Although he hasn't lived in a home before, he keeps his kennel tidy and has no behavioral issues or anxiety. He does get excited on walks and loves to explore new smells but quickly settles and follows instructions on the leash. Traveling is also easy with him—he’s well-behaved in the car and always eager for adventure. While he may need a gradual introduction to indoor living, Wolfie is expected to adjust well to a patient, active family or individual who is enthusiastic about including him in daily activities. Like many huskies, he prefers freedom to confinement and truly thrives when engaged. Wolfie is part of a special effort to give forgotten dogs a second chance. Dogs in The Bleeding Heart Society have spent years in boarding through no fault of their own, waiting for the home and love they deserve. Are you ready to change a life and welcome Wolfie into your heart? Give them the home they have been waiting for. Apply today.
