About SAMWISE n Offered
Is this seat taken? Samwise—Sam for short—is on the hunt for a warm lap to curl up on. Though her people think she may have suffered some old injuries before they found her, Samwise is resilient and isn’t slowed down by her quirky jaw or bouts of clumsiness. She does best when her food is softened, and sometimes she just needs to do things at her own pace. She loves napping, but also has a playful streak—expect her to pounce on a passing foot or investigate a freshly used shower. Windowsills, scratchers, fuzzy mice, and upturned bathroom mats are her happy places. Samwise isn’t shy with people and warms up quickly—she’ll purr just from a head pat or even a look. She’s cautious but curious in new situations. While she’s fine with dogs as long as they’re gentle, she hasn’t done well living with other cats. Older kids who understand gentle handling are a safer match. A strictly indoor life is best for her, especially because of her previous injuries. She’s spayed, vaccinated, tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV, and lives with her caregiver in Hillsboro, OR. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
