About Samwise N Offered
Make their next chapter their best one yet. Is this seat taken? Meet Samwise, or Sam for short, a tabby cat who is searching for a loving lap to curl up on. Samwise has a touching backstory, having been found in a garden after what appears to have been a rough experience with a car. While she may feel some pain in her jaw and shows signs of past injuries, Samwise doesn't let anything dampen her zest for life. Her food needs to be softened to help her eat comfortably, and she can be a bit clumsy at times, but her happy spirit shines through. Like any typical kitty, Samwise loves perching on windowsills to watch the world, scratching at posts, playing with fuzzy mice, and exploring fun places like the tub or shower just after you. She isn't timid around people and is attentively curious about new things. Samwise’s favorite pastime, however, is simply sitting with you or gently purring nearby—her affection is immediate and sweet. She is best suited as the only cat in the home, as she doesn't get along well with other felines. However, she enjoys the company of gentle dogs and could thrive with older children who understand her need for gentle treatment. Samwise has been spayed, is up to date on vaccines, and has tested negative for kitty leukemia and HIV/AIDS. Due to her old injuries, Samwise is an ideal indoor companion. Potential adopters should note that Samwise occasionally pounces playfully, which adds to her character but might be a factor for those with mobility concerns. She currently lives in Salem with her caregiver at Cat's Cradle Rescue, patiently waiting for her special someone to offer her the love-filled indoor home she deserves. Cat's Cradle Rescue is an all-volunteer, foster-based, non-profit organization helping Oregon cats find new beginnings. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
