About Britta

Britta spent about a month on the run in Minot before she was finally trapped and brought into safety. She was extremely cautious of humans at first, moving only when absolutely necessary and staying away from anyone who tried to approach. Thanks to some careful planning and the help of caring locals, she was finally caught gently in a live trap and brought to rescue. Britta has proven to be choosy around other dogs—she gets along with some but not all and prefers not to share her home with other dogs. She is devoted to her chosen person and attaches closely, happiest as a one-dog companion. Britta has moderate to high energy and needs daily exercise and mental challenges to keep her settled. She’s strong, athletic, and when she’s wound up, has a tendency to jump up, though she’s making progress in training. Adopters will receive lifetime support from Dog Training With Kasey to help Britta continue her progress. She’s currently being observed around cats, so there’s potential she might adapt to a home with cats but it’s not guaranteed. Britta is looking for a household ready to be her world—one that can provide steady routines and plenty of engagement. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
