About Britta

Click apply to start the adoption process. Britta spent about a month on her own in the Minot area, living in survival mode and steering clear of people. She was safely trapped using a specialized dog trap after being carefully fed and monitored by a dedicated team. Named after the first person who spotted her, Britta is sensitive to changes in her environment and has come a long way since rescue, showing remarkable resilience. Britta is dog selective—while she gets along with some dogs, she can immediately dislike others. She's a true velcro dog, adoring her chosen person and always eager to be by your side. Because of her tendency to guard treasured people or things, she would thrive in a home where she is the only dog. Britta's compatibility with cats is still being assessed. With her moderate to high energy, she needs daily mental stimulation and plenty of chances to exercise those strong legs. She sometimes jumps when excited, but is improving with ongoing training, which her new family will receive at no cost for her lifetime thanks to Dog Training With Kasey (DTWK). Britta is looking for a supportive and understanding adopter who is ready to help her continue her journey. She has a lot of love to give and is eager to find her forever home. Ready to fall in love?
