Azúcar's story starts on the winding mountain roads near Naguabo, right after the holidays, when she and her sister Latte were found abandoned and tied up along the busy roadside, both dangerously close to traffic. The girls’ hunger for affection was obvious—they chased passing cars, approached anyone for comfort, and never stopped searching for someone to love. Thanks to quick action and temporary fostering, Azúcar dodged a harsher fate and is now settling in at a safe home, learning what consistent care looks like. At about six months old, Azúcar is energetic and playful, still carrying that spark of puppy energy. She’s a medium-sized mix with a short white coat accented by brindle spots, a look that matches her lively spirit. Azúcar gets along with other dogs, enjoys the company of cats, and is gentle with children. She has been spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated—including rabies and Bordetella—and is house trained.
