About Duckie
Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now! Meet Duckie, an adorable 3-year-old little guy weighing 8 lbs but possessing a larger-than-life personality and an even bigger attitude! Duckie is full of energy and loves to play—he keeps himself entertained with his toys and delights in zooming around the house. This cheerful fellow gets along splendidly with dogs of all sizes, cats, and is known to be fantastic with children. The Duckster has earned the title of Velcro dog, always wanting to be close and curling up on top of you for snuggles. Not only does he shower you with kisses, but he’s also incredibly affectionate and enjoys being held and carried. Duckie is a classic chihuahua: a bit yappy and very protective of his family, especially when strangers are involved. While he is still learning house training, Duckie currently wears a belly band to help with marking, and being newly neutered should assist with future progress. Duckie has a medical condition that is very well managed with daily medication and routine veterinary care. Although he’s had a few seizure-like episodes, he doesn’t have a formal diagnosis of epilepsy. He does best with a consistent routine and a loving caregiver who is comfortable administering medication and creating a calm, supportive environment. With the right home, Duckie will continue to thrive as a playful, loyal, and loving companion. If you’re seeking a sidekick who’s ready to entertain you, cuddle at every opportunity, and keep you safe from things that go bump in the night, Duckie could be the perfect match for your family. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
