About Maxie
Maxie is a friendly and food-motivated cat who takes everything in stride, including car rides and new environments. He’s lived peacefully alongside three other cats and seems to mingle fine without any drama. Indoors, Maxie handles himself well—litter box manners are excellent, whether in a standard box or a Litter Robot. He started out as a stray, coming by often and earning trust outside before being brought in for proper care. Now he’s FIV-positive, but otherwise healthy and living comfortably. FIV only spreads between cats through serious fights, not general play or grooming, so Maxie can share space with other gentle cats. He’s marked as a special case mostly because of FIV status, but don’t let that scare you off; he acts and feels like any other laid-back housecat. This listing is through a private rescuer and not part of Snowflake Animal Rescue’s foster system, so requests go directly to the caretaker, not the organization. Ready to meet your new best friend?
