Lainey is a happy, loving girl with so many wonderful qualities to offer her future foster or forever home. She's 10 months old. Lainey is fully house-trained and uses the doggie door on her own. She is very reliable with her potty habits. She loves going for walks and patiently sits by the door while her harness is put on. Lainey has even gone on a few runs and does well overall—though bikes with bright lights coming up from behind her at night can still be a little scary. Lainey hops right into the SUV and is always ready for an adventure. She would make an excellent adventure partner for hikes, walks, road trips, and outdoor fun. Lainey loves people and other dogs! She does great on walks, playdates, and with her older foster sibling (who usually doesn’t like other dogs—but absolutely loves Lainey!). Another dog in the home is required, as she thrives with canine companionship and would do best with a playful pup to keep her company. She has not been tested with cats. She does have a prey drive and would happily chase squirrels or deer if allowed, but she is learning “leave it” and is doing very well with that command. Lainey truly thrives when her people are around. She’s content relaxing nearby or doing her own thing, as long as she isn’t left alone for long periods. Things to know: Lainey finds crate time very stressful and does not do well being crated. She is still a puppy, so like many young dogs, Lainey needs plenty of appropriate chew toys and guidance on what’s okay to chew—and what isn’t. These are both typical puppy behaviors that need some love, patience, and training. She would do best in a home where someone works from home or can provide lots of attention, structure, guidance, and snuggles. A fenced-in, secure yard is required so Lainey has a safe space to play, explore, and burn off her energy. Another dog in the home is required for her happiness and well-being. Lainey is incredibly loving and affectionate and will thrive in the right home with companionship, patience, and plenty of love. With the right setup, she will make an amazing adventure-loving companion!
