About Lulu

Forget the blurry photos—Lulu’s personality is sharp and full of life from the first moment you meet her. She might pass for an ordinary brown tabby at first glance, but up close her striking striped coat and big, yellow eyes speak for themselves. Friendly and outgoing, Lulu soaks up attention, although she can get a touch too excited and nip during petting sessions. As she settles in and feels secure, she relaxes and the nippy moments become less frequent. Lulu’s life hasn’t been easy; scrounging for food in southwest Baltimore, she found shelter in a vacant house and safely raised her four kittens there. Resourceful and protective, she’s finally getting a chance to enjoy life indoors, and now that her kittens are safe in foster homes, it’s Lulu’s turn to find a family that will look out for her. At about 1.5-2 years old, she’s spayed, vaccinated, healthy, and microchipped. She’s playful with a kitten’s energy, loves being around people, and seems comfortable with other cats. Lulu has done well with school-aged children but probably isn’t best for homes with very young kids. Her experience with dogs is unknown. Currently fostered in Sykesville, Carroll County, Lulu can also come to Baltimore for a meet-and-greet. She’s a sweet, special girl looking for security and affection—a gem ready for the next chapter. They are waiting with paws crossed! Apply now!
