About Piper
Start your journey together! Apply now. Piper is a joyful 6-year-old mixed breed girl whose resilience shines through even after heartbreak. Once a stray puppy, she waited in a New Jersey shelter until she was adopted, only to return years later after her beloved owner's passing in November 2024. Sadly, the shelter was closing, and Piper found herself once again in need of a loving family, so she was welcomed into rescue, determined not to let her story end in sadness. Despite her challenges, Piper is full of love: she adores people, always has a smile, and is happiest when on a walk, enjoying car rides, or playing with her toys. Her gentle nature makes her a great companion for older children, and she's completely house trained. Piper would do best as the only dog in the home and, with slow and proper introductions, may be able to live with dog-savvy cats. She has had a successful surgery to repair a right hind limb CCL rupture and might require further surgical care in the future, so adopters should be prepared for those veterinary needs. Piper is spayed and up to date on all her vaccinations. The love and loyalty she offers in return are immeasurable, and she hopes to finally find the forever home she so deeply deserves. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
