He is affectionate, friendly, and loves being close to his people. True to his breed, Tater believes everyone he meets is a friend and does wonderfully with strangers, including at the vet. Tater was rescued from a backyard breeder where he spent much of his early life confined to a small cage🥺 Because of this, he developed carpal deformities in both front legs, with the left leg more affected. Health & Special Needs: Veterinary specialists have advised that surgery may be an option, but the window for surgery is very limited since Tater is already around 2 years old, and the procedure is very expensive. Surgery has not been pursued at this time. Currently, Tater is: Happy, active, and pain-free. Managing well with everyday activities. Expected to benefit from weight management, controlled exercise, and supportive care As he ages, Tater may develop arthritis, and pain management will be used if needed. 🏡 Ideal Home: Tater would do best in a loving home that understands his physical needs, helps manage his activity level, and provides plenty of affection.
