About Juanita

Click apply to start the adoption process. Juanita is currently thriving in a loving foster home and is ready for her forever place to call home. She is a brown and black tabby, a short-haired, spayed female who came into rescue in 2023 through a spay/neuter program. Rather than be returned outside, she was given a chance at a better life because a vet saw her gentle spirit. Initially very shy and almost invisible, Juanita has blossomed in her foster environment. Over time, her curiosity grew, and she now enjoys spending time with people and being part of the household. Juanita has a sweet, affectionate personality. She loves receiving headbutts, rolling over for tummy rubs, and playing with toys or climbing cat trees. She is likely to be cautious at first in new environments or with new people, but with patience and understanding, she becomes loving and loyal to her established humans. Her ideal adopter will provide a calm, welcoming home where she can continue to shine and feel safe. Juanita would prefer to be the only cat in the home. If she were to live with another cat, it should be a mellow, non-dominant companion, as she can sometimes play the alpha. She prefers not to live with dogs and would flourish best in a quieter home with adults or calm, cat-savvy teens. If you are seeking a cat with both a brave spirit and a big heart, Juanita is waiting to meet you. Make their next chapter their best one yet.
