About Lyla
Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you. Meet Lyla! She and her companions—Bailey, Izzy, Maisy, Moose, and Zoey—found themselves needing help when their previous family moved and left them behind. Despite facing such a big change, Lyla and her friends display nothing but gentle, loving spirits and a remarkable resilience. These six adorable pups likely come from two different litters. While their exact ages will soon be confirmed after spay and neuter appointments, we know that Maisy is about 6 months old and Zoey is around a year old. Lyla and her buddies are playful, affectionate, and just a bit shy when first meeting new people, but once they settle in, their sweet, snuggly personalities shine through. They love attention, treats, and quality cuddle time! Ideal foster and foster-to-adopt homes are being sought where Lyla can feel safe, learn what it means to be cherished, and get ready to embrace a bright future with a new family. She has been through so much already and is longing for someone to show her true love and care. Foster-to-adopt options are available, providing a wonderful opportunity to ensure a great fit for both family and pup before finalizing the adoption. Let Lyla be the one to bring joy and warmth to your home! Adoption fees help support valuable programs at POPP, including spay/neuter efforts. Let’s make it official, apply to adopt!

How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Small outdoor spaces or regular walks are typically enough for Chihuahuas and similar small mixed breeds. They don't require a large yard, but they do enjoy safe places to explore and play.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Chihuahuas can do well with gentle, respectful children, but supervision is always recommended due to their small size and delicate nature. They make great companions for families who understand how to interact kindly with small dogs.
