Bing Crosby sang a beautiful song called “Winter Wonderland.” But when you’re outdoors in the wind and cold, there is nothing wonderful about it. Not if you’re a mama cat with four kittens to care for and nowhere to take shelter. We were lucky that someone in Austin found us and brought us to Paws and Claws. My family and I all have names of wintertime songs. I am called Winter Wonderland. I wonder about many things, but I have fewer worries now that my family and I are safe. I am a quiet girl, a little shy, but when I get to know someone, I like being petted. I am gentle and mellow. I dream that before this winter season is over, I will be home with a person or a family, lounging by a fire on a warm lap, content and happy. I would love to be someone’s very own Winter Wonderland.
