About Gus

Start your journey together! Apply now. Gus, also known as Chance, arrived at the shelter severely underweight, but thanks to a wonderful foster family, he has made a remarkable recovery and is now ready to find his forever home. Chance is a joyful and goofy companion who adores both cuddling on the couch and going for walks, where he does very well on leash. He's happiest when he can see and hear his people and will bark if left alone out of sight. At bedtime, he either settles into his crate or will gladly join you in bed if permitted, often putting himself to bed when he's tired. Chance is dog selective and not suited for homes with smaller animals, as he loves to chase them—cats and small livestock are not a good fit. Due to his excitability, a household with older children would be most appropriate. He is housebroken, signaling when he needs to go out, and has excellent manners, though he would benefit from continued training. Loyal and eager to please, Chance is hoping for that special someone to help him complete his journey toward a joyful new chapter. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
